DESCRIPTION: Whether it’s an electronic document, an email, a photo, or a sound file, all of the digital evidence we deal with in our cases was born with metadata. Many of these nuggets of information stay put throughout that evidence's life cycle (and indeed some can make or break your case). In this presentation, we will explore the the various ways that fraud investigators, auditors, law enforcement, and other professionals can make the best use of this essential component. We’ll learn what to look for, all about the myths and facts of metadata, and when and how it can be leveraged.
