About Our Presenter, Kelly Paxton

Kelly Paxton - Certified Fraud Examiner, Author, and Advocate for Fraud Awareness with over two decades of investigative experience, Kelly is a nationally recognized Certified Fraud Examiner, respected author, and the dynamic host and founder of the Fraudish podcast.

Kelly launched her career in 1993 as a Special Agent for the U.S. Customs Office of Investigations, where she was recruited for her financial expertise. She specialized in white-collar crime, money laundering, and narcotics cases, and led the district’s undercover operations, managing both the strategic execution and financial accountability.

Her investigative reach spans both public and private sectors. Kelly has conducted more than 1,000 high-level security background checks for the Office of Personnel Management and the Department of Homeland Security. She later brought her skills to Nike as a corporate investigator, handling complex cases involving embezzlement, conflicts of interest, intellectual property theft, Open Source Intelligence, and broader fraud issues.

Her groundbreaking book, Embezzlement: How to Prevent, Detect, and Investigate Pink-Collar Crime, offers practical insights and has become essential reading for organizations aiming to protect themselves from internal fraud.
